Ascent Trip Report

From campsite woke up...headed to the open pit for relief, and then bushwhacked up the fence on the road again but this time started bushwhacking the side slopes and stumbled into a trail that was way nicer than hiking up the road or bushwhacking. Motor bikes take this trail and I mean whoooooah how they get up some of the limestone rocks? This made the journey more enjoyable and you summit this time on the SW side of the peak which is nice. I decided to use the trail this way from now on each morning. On the way back I explored the juniper-pinon pine ecosystem and began to really enjoy it!

For those not camping park at the intersection of the maintenance road just past the restroom pits and it is a 1 mile RT easy hike or drive up the fence and find the trail and it is a 0.5 Mile RT hike but from the camp site it was perfect.
