Ascent Trip Report

This way my last Hike of the day having done Dog Canyon Rim earlier today which I did not really enjoy, Its a dam long drive to get here. Luckily the Roads are not too bad just a lot of miles to get here and find a suitable place to start the hike. Keep on driving around the Mountain to look for something which looked good. After a while it all started to look the same and I guess it does not really matter from where to start to get to the Mountain and climb up. See my GPS Data on the Car Picture for my exact Starting Point. (Southeast of the Mountain near a Corral). Walked towards the Mountains and the Ridgeline up through Cactus, Ocotillo and more of other spiky Stuff. At one point I came across some Javelina just never close enough for a good Picture. As I worked up my way it got steeper as I closed in on big Rock Slabs, which I liked to gain elevation quickly. Mostly solid stuff to walk on top rather than around. Not a bad route and I definitely enjoyed it. Found the Benchmark and Register on top and great views all around. Returned pretty much the same way reaching the Car just shortly after the Sun went down. For me this was more enjoyable than I ever thought.

Please see below GPS Data and some Pictures of the Hike
