Ascent Trip Report

Took Calamity Brook Trail, across Flowed Lands (some spots where you can drop down due to post holes, use caution), up Herbert Brook. Snowshoes the whole way. Unmarked trail. Trail broken nicely but not as good past the lean to up Herbert Brook (gets narrow), but not too bad. There's a lean-to along Calamity Brook as well. Henderson Monument was easy to find at Calamity Pond. No view from the small area near wooded summit on this day, just grey. It's a long haul, 14 miles. Pretty calm, but some colder breeze crossing Flowed Lands.
