Ascent Trip Report

I approached this mountain from Blacks Creek Knob. Lots of big rhodo to deal with but you can walk underneath most of the limbs. Tons of wildlife traffic all throughout this area. Just before the summit of Rattlesnake a faint footpath will start to appear. There are even some old fallen limbs across the trail that have been cut for ease of travel. I believe there must have been an official trail along this ridgeline once upon a time. The easiest way to summit is by way of the eastern slope right off the Bartram Trail. Open forest. GPS track on the Oakey Mtn TR.
