Ascent Trip Report

I noticed on my northbound traveling on the Bartram Trail that this mountain had a rock outcrop near the summit. It looked promising for views. You can't miss the outcrop just a few vertical feet down from the summmit and on the south side. Great views. Worth going up just for that. On the way up you'll have some rhodo to contend with but it wasn't too bad. Head up to the summit via the western ridgeline. Stay to the south of the rhodo after you first leave the trail. You'll reach a clearing and them more rhodo. This grove of rhodo you'll just have to hike through but, like I said, it isn't bad. GPS track on the Oakey Mtn TR.
