Ascent Trip Report

A xcountry walk to 6 areas .... 1 mile total hiking, allow 1 hour.

I went to the 6 candidate high Point areas, all in cotton fields except for #1 and need to be visited in the winter. There is nothing obvious at all of them, stomped the Areas to my satisfaction. I've numbered the Areas a la PB.
Andrew Karr's GPS Track nicely shows the areas.
We had rain all day, the worst of our trip so far, used my umbrella on all of my hikes.

From I-75, exit 102 we drove east on #280 for about 2.4 miles to a left onto Dorough Road, crossed RR Tracks and at 1.4 miles north (just past road crest) turned into a field entrance on the right (this is the MAIN AREA and AREA #2 which should actually be one Area ). There is a water pump (?) station here on this high ground. All of the different Areas looks from this vantage point eye-leveled to be lower (?).
From here I walked to AREA #3 150 yds to the northeast and its obvious that #3 is lower than the Main Area and should definitely be eliminated from the list.

AREA #1 is 300yds before this field entrance in the brushy field to the west of Dorough Road, my eye level told me that its lower than the Main Area.

For AREA #4 and #5 we drove up up the road another .5 miles and parked at the "Crisp Co Fire Station #2" on the left.
I hiked xcountry northeast over AREA #4 and on to AREA #5 at abt .25 miles. The RT taking less than 25 minutes. Nothing is definite but my eye level says they are both lower than the Main Area.

Conclusion - my overview says that the MAIN AREA is "the" HP. At the very least Areas #2 and #3 should be removed from the list.
