Ascent Trip Report

Pretty easy off trail hike. Start at Hwy 107 from a picnic area and walk north on the road to cross Slatten Branch. Here you can pick up the Fork Mtn Trail to take you to Slatten Ridge. Then hike south to reach the highpoint. There isn't too much brush to contend with but there is some rhodo as soon as you head off the Fork Mtn Trl. Just hike around it to on the east side. Some people on Alltrails have said that the Fork Mtn Trl is full of blowdowns but the section I did was in very good shape. No problems at all.
