The would-be mock lead for Sam led us to this small mountain on the side of the Seven Sisters. The goal was to reach Mt. Holyoke but we hiked an extra loop once reaching Taylor Notch from Route 47. It was very scenic and well worth the extra hiking, passing over streams, through hemlock groves, and by many rock outcrops. We finally made it to the Summit House at dusk and climbed down in the dark. Only small scattered patches of snow covered the ground and microspikes were unnecessary. I won't enter Mt. Holyoke because I've already summited it a number of times.
