Ascent Trip Report

Took the "easy" route from La Cumbre Peak. It's a bit of a steep climb and of course doing it from La Cumbre you climb up on the way out. Beautiful view of Santa Barbara and the Channel Islands. One other person ahead of me hiking all the way down. Saw two more starting down as I came up. Trail is easy to follow. Lost it for a few minutes near the top when you first drop off but after that good to go. The short climb up to Cathedral is nicely shaded tunnel through the chaparral. Little bit of a scramble on some parts.
