Ascent Trip Report

Most people do this summit by driving to the Pajarito parking area on GM2 and then walk the short path to the top. We stayed at a hotel in the town of Imada and did this loop hike #13 described in "Walk! La Gomera". One of the Discovery Walking Guides. The route is on trails and old roads
from the end of the paved road in the town. The route is done counterclockwise. Quite spectacular views on the ascent of the rugged terrain around the town which sets in a steep canyon. I highly recommend this hike. It is a nearly perfect hike because it ends at Bar/Restaurant Arcilia where you can get a Dorada beer on tap for 2 euros. The goat cheese and goat meat are really good too. There is a bus (Line #3) from San Sebastian to Imada several times a day for 4 euros.
