Ascent Trip Report

A beautiful mid-January day. Unseasonably warm and clear. No wind. The seasonal road to the trailhead was closed. Had to hike 0.5mi down a road to the TH. One other couple was there with a dog. Short hike. Quite muddy towards the bottom, but about 2500' the trail became crusty with ice. There was also a little bit of leftover snow, that was easy to walk around. The trees at the top had ice on the upper branches. Steps up the fire tower were a bit treacherous. Unremarkable hike down. All in all, a quick day, 1hr 21min. This completed the Catskill Fire Towers.
