Ascent Trip ReportSolo hike of a couple of peaks near Red Rock Canyon. 3511 is just off of 159, about 1 mile north from 160. It is about ¾ mile before the Gypsum plant entrance. It was a short cross country hike to the summit.
Next was Horse. I continued north on 159 to Calico Basin road.. I turned left (west), drove about ½ mile and park where a trail came in from the right. Took the trail up to a junction, turned right then in a short distance picked up a use trail to the summit. No register or benchmark on the summit.
In the afternoon I joined a class on rock scrambling. It was a good hands on experience on climbing some rock.
