Ascent Trip Report

Bonus peak. The Peakbagger page says USFS but per the topo it looks to be just outside and the roads didn't feel like USFS land. But in any event, I saw no gates or signs prohibiting access. See track for driving route. I think about any vehicle or perhaps an Outback could make it to the 1400m junction. Above here I would say high clearance. Then the very final spur is probably 4WD but you're so close to the summit it is moot. That road was blocked by a tree. There might be another track or jeep travel from more S that can be driven; I didn't check. The ridge is open easy travel and there's an old rocky track on the S side as well. The high ground is clearly the BM area as marked on the E end of the contour. This is a rocky bump with wide views including Shasta (of course) Black Mtn, and Cottonwood Peak.
