Ascent Trip Report

Was hoping to get within shouting distance of this peak by road, but a chain link fence at the 4000 contour stopped my vehicle in its tracks. From there it was a windy, but nice hike up the well maintained road to the the bushwhack near the summit. Some folks are building homes up here, but a lot of the land is undeveloped. The summit is rocky and forested. Perhaps better views once all the leaves have fallen.

A tough bushwhack to the west could lead to Old Field Bald, but my knees would not let me explore this option.

Incredible views of the eastern Amphibolite Mountains on the way down.
