Ascent Trip ReportTom and I decided today we would venture into the Camp Wood area and hike Hyde Mountain Lookout and combine it with the seldom climbed Camp Wood Mountain. Hyde Mountain was an easy route and simple to follow up to the lookout. Nice location for a lookout. Took only 1:05 hrs to reach summit. Found small summit log near the bench mark outside the lookout structure. Only had two other signatures from August and October 2019. We descended down the summit turning downward before reaching the saddle. See Camp Wood Report for track from Hyde to Camp Wood summit. |
