Ascent Trip ReportHiked from the east on the PCT from Van Dusen Canyon Road. This was on November 1, and noted on the way in that this road is locked from November 1 thru May. The gate was open and I left a note on the lock indicating our entry time and expected exit. A nice PCT walk to the steep Jeep road to the summit (the normal HPS Route). We considered cross country (I did, not Pat) direct from the PCT to the summit, but it is very steep, with downfall and brush.
Approx six miles RT. This was 199 “pathfinders” for me, 999 HPS Peaks, and one short of a third list completion. BFD, but it’s fun.
