Ascent Trip ReportTook Wedge Brook trail to Upper Wolfjaws. A lot of wet leaves made it slightly tricky to follow the trail at some points, but not too bad. Lots of muddy and wet areas, so took it slow and safe. Crossed Canyon Bridge, then a bridge by a waterfall. Up past the beautiful cascade waterfall (can go down right near the base, not sure if it connects to previous waterfall). Hiked past a campsite. At one section, trail junctions to either left or right with no sign (yellow markers). Go left. If you go right, there is a very large flat rock wall on your left and a drop off on your right, just turn back. Several scrambles that prove challenging for shorter folks (I'm 5'4" and really had to stop and think my way through them. Also, older, so maybe not as nimble!) Fortunately, a couple guys came along and helped me up one. One has two boulders with a squeeze spot. Took off my pack and went through that. One spot, I could have jumped down, but feared injury, so lowered my pack with a rope and it made for a "step" to drop down onto. Descended to junction for Lower Wolfjaws. .5 miles straight up. Less difficult scrambling. That section took approximately 1.25 hours. Total time about 11 hours. Disappointed that there were no geodetic markers. Oh well!
