Ascent Trip ReportCT "county" high point #8 was Burley Hill, which I ascended via the western route outlined in recent TRs. Parked at the corner of New City and Burley Hill Roads and walked up the road to where the red-blazed snowmobile trail broke off to the right. Using prior GPS tracks as a guide, I went up the trail and through tall grass in two hay meadows. A witness post is near one of the reference marks, did not find a benchmark. Highest ground appears to be one of a few rock outcrops just NE of the path.
Burley Hill marks my second state completion after Rhode Island. No idea what state I'll try to tackle next, as no others are as easy as these two.
