Ascent Trip ReportThis was a far more pleasant hike than I expected through a peaceful state forest. Of the 6 Connecticut HPs I did today, this was by far my favorite.
Parked south of the turnaround on Midwood Farm Road and followed the ATV tracks/forest roads using previous GPS tracks as a guide. At one location, I made a wrong turn, but this was quickly fixed with a short bushwhack over to the proper track. ATV track leads right to the summit, which is marked by the foundation of a former fire tower. Benchmark is located just before (south) of the fire tower footings, high ground appears to be near a cairn by the footings.
