Ascent Trip ReportWe were able to drive all the way to the crossing of the Price River in a Subaru Forester. The hike was about 16 miles RT with just under 3,000 feet of elevation gain. The last half mile of the ascent we left the road, went up to a saddle just north of Mount Elliott, and tried to stay as close to the ridge as possible. The scramble required a few class 3 moves. Fall seems to be the best time of year to do this hike as the weather is cooler and the water level lower. It was flowing at about 20 cfs and only about 1-1.5 feet deep in the deepest sections.
