Ascent Trip Report

Drove over the Hogback on the way to Escalante. In town, I went down the river with Nate to see the canyon. The walls were high and impressive. I enjoyed the outing. Perhaps adding extra mileage to a relay race is not a great idea, but I wanted to see some cool stuff while I was in central/southern Utah. We were trying to get to some pictograph/petroglyph panels, but we weren't sure where they were. Turns out we hiked by 2 of them, and the other was about another mile away. Next time! The trail is hard to follow, but it is pretty amazing.
