Ascent Trip ReportShore to summit sufferfest that started as a "I wonder if it's possible..." conversation and morphed into reality on a hot and humid day in August. Starting from the front porch of one North Shore friend's home, we took to the road with the intention of not stopping until we bagged the Hamilton county high point. Armed w with only the power of our legs and the promise of our ride waiting at the summit toting fermented beverages, we attained the lofty goal while appreciating the great Riverwalk paths as well as the trail network on Lookout Mountain. A small bushwhack from Miller's Way lookout to the Guild trail could have been avoided by finding the trailhead a few hundred feet further north, but otherwise I am fairly certain we found the most efficient way onto the trail networks of Lookout from St. Elmo. Altogether a great day and we earned this summit the right way!
