Ascent Trip Report

Decided to hit up Castle on a trip to the Tatoosh.
Also our first backcountry skiing experience. We parked at Narada Falls and skied the road to Reflection Lakes, then headed up to the ridge. The route we chose was steep and icy enough that we took skis off and kicked steps up the slope.
Skied one round down the nice wide slope North of Castle, then headed over to the lake East of Castle to camp.
Snow was much better on the South side of the ridge.
The park gates close at 5PM so we didn't have as much time as expected. Chose a route up mostly at random; it turned out to be 5.6ish, and took it to the top. From there it would have been mostly a traverse over to the summit, but by the time we were up there it was time to turn around in order to make it to the gates before closing.
