Ascent Trip ReportMy starting point for Green left a little to be desired. From the base of the radio installation at the end of the Sosman trail, I followed the access road down to the top of the ski slopes looking for a spot to drop into the woods. Not really finding anything to my liking, I backtracked a short distance and finally just bit the bullet, plunging into thick, crappy woods. I was also on the "wrong" side of the ridge so sidehilled westerly to gain the spine of the ridge. There I stumbled on a "trail" blazed in yellow spray paint. It had very little in the way of a defined footpath but the blazes were spaced about every 10-15 feet. I was curious and since it was headed toward Green, I followed it down to the col, where I lost it. From the col, I took the path of least resistance, finding yellow blazes a couple of times before reaching what I considered the top. There was no register, only a couple yellow blazes and strips of pink ribbon. The blazes continued south from there. I tried following the blazes back but soon lost them, only to pick them up again in the col. I followed them all the way back from there, coming out right behind the radio installation. It is very thick at the start and to find the path you need to go into the woods a good 30-40 feet before you pick it up.
