Ascent Trip Report***Sierra Club Outing***
led by Mat Kelliher, Bill Simpson, Sunny Yi, Jason Park
Day 1 of a two day trip out to the Spring Mountains. We stayed at the Fletcher View Campground Friday and Saturday nights. Took the South Loop trail to the summit; 15 of our party of 18 made it to the top. The trail's in great shape and the way is simple. Gorgeous weather both days with highs in the upper 60s and lows in the mid-50s; this despite the high temperature in nearby Las Vegas of 114 F. A lot to be said for adiabatic cooling.
