Ascent of Boy Mountain on 2019-08-11
|Date:||Sunday, August 11, 2019|
|Ascent Type:||Successful Summit Attained|
| Location:||USA-New Hampshire|
| Elevation:||2224 ft / 677 m|
Ascent Trip ReportWe parked on the side of Rt. 2, 1.1 miles east of Rt. 115, as described in the White Mountain Guide. The WMG says to follow a driveway to get to the trail, but it is actually just a grassy lawn. Look for the fencepost sign pointing the way to the woods at the top of the lawn. From there, the WMG directions are pretty accurate, and there are signs at a couple places pointing to the correct route. It is a moderate climb on a fairly wide path to the summit. The clearing just below the highpoint has a bench and offers nice views of the Presidential and Dartmouth Ranges, as well as the section of Rt. 2 around the trailhead.
