Ascent Trip ReportWe began at 3:30 am. Hard packed snow coverage for a number of miles leading up to the final climb. Quality steps cut in which offered switchback opportunities until the actual switchbacks started to show up with about a quarter mile to go. Quality steps on the chute as well. Somewhat difficult to cut in with my axe since it was a corsa, but there was no real need with the steps. I used micro spikes. This was part of pct thru attempt. |
