Ascent Trip Report

GREAT hike/climb.
Left Leavitt Lake TH up to the PCT, ascended the southeast shoulder with minimal class 2 exposures above the cirque.
We did have 2 formidable snow fields to contend with along the east approach on the PCT that we slowly walked across digging in our tracks.
Met 3 very nice people that shared Pecan Pie (Case, Connie and I completely am drawing a blank on the other very kind gentlemen, my apologies!).
We descended using the east slope's "Y" couloir which shaved a couple miles, was pretty fast and a great quadriceps workout!
I'll do this again from Sonora Pass TH so I can see the volcanic outcroppings from that approach.
