Ascent Trip Report

Nice day to hike to the peak, perfect weather conditions and light winds and sunny at the peak. Iris the dog's first 4k! Di and I had a nice pace for most of the day. We chose to go up Profanity Trail because it was recommended by the hut staff as less steep and rocky. One issue with the hike was we chose to hike down cliff trail and that is not a great trail for a dog. We were lucky that the dog had her backpack as we had to use the handle quite a few times to get down the rocks. About 6 hours total on the hike, but the rocky sections were extremely slow going!
