Ascent Trip Report

Hiked from Anthony Lake Campground via Hoffer Lakes Trail. It had rained hard the night before, but we had a sunny window for the climb. Passing to the east of the Lakes we walked through Angell Basin and headed for the saddle NNE of Angell Peak and climbed up the ridge. A couple of hundred feet below the summit we moved right out of the rocks to a more open slope. We descended this slope back to the bBasin. It might be easier to ascend this way, but it's steep and not as fun as doing a bit of rock scrambling.
