Ascent Trip Report

Weather was a bit moist...but we all needed to get out especially because I had zero ambition last weekend since I was tired and kept us all home even though it was Gorgeous! Oh well...this is why I am not a finisher...

Wore my Scarpa approach shoes trying to convince myself they will be good for Stuart W Ridge...but still not convinced I like them (Side Note: after some time spent wearing my old and older la sportiva boulder approach shoes with no less than 3 different insole options I am going with my very old ones with my very old green superfeet. Practiced bouldering in them which of course felt super clunky and they felt fine on yellows and reds plus easier greens so I think they’ll do! Sean also shoe gooed my crazy peeling rubber so they are almost like new!!!)

Hiked new trail till where it is rock steps near creek then followed the heritage trail up and reversed. Lunch at Naan N Curry after which FYI even though it was about 2pm it was PACKED! Apparently Sunday is busy for them and our first time there since they majorly expanded... we were quite hungry by the time food came so it tasted even extra good.

Stopped at REI after to stock up on some liquid goo foods to hopefully keep me more fueled while keeping the weight down on the aforementioned upcoming (making me nervous) Stuart trip.
