Ascent Trip Report

There is a long, winding, and dusty drive on a 4WD road to the summit. Beware of logging trucks on the road, as this area is being actively logged. I missed the first turnoff, hit a locked gate, then backtracked and looked for the correct route. I spoke with someone and he told me to continue up the road and to "bear right," which is apparently at N 48° 26.706 W 116° 25.191. The closest I could get to the summit with my vehicle is at about N 48° 25.622 W 116° 21.712. The summit of the peak is at N 48° 26.029 W 116° 21.704.

On this trip, I also ascended Latour Peak-South Ridge Summit, the highest point of Benewah County. I parked my vehicle at N 48° 25.514 W 116° 21.611 and hiked along the ridge to the summit at N 48° 24.830 W 116° 21.935.
