Ascent Trip Report

Parked at Collins Gap, walked northeast 100 yards on the Clingmans Dome road (toward Newfound Gap), and then found a cut-through on the left shoulder that quickly connected to the AT. Turned right (northbound) and followed the trail across a false summit to the top, where a couple of boulders are candidates for the high ground. This route was not long enough nor high enough to qualify for South Beyond 6000.
