Black Peak from Wing Lake

The stupendous north face of Goode Mountain from the south ridge of Black Peak. The vertical distance from the summit straight down to the creek below is about 5,800 feet, well over a mile, which is nearly twice as far as the distance from the rim of El Capitan to the Merced River, which is about 3,100 feet.
