Ascent Trip Report

#69 on the NH Fire Tower list. This is a really nice local preserve. The access road to the trailhead was under construction on our visit, so we walked up. We took the Zig Zag Trail on the way up, which had many unnecessary switchbacks, then headed up the top of the access road to the cell towers. We took the spur path to the southern outlook, which had a fine view of Dublin Pond and Mt. Monadnock. We then went across Old Carriage Road and up Ridge Trail to the summit viewpoint, which was the nicest spot and had a great view to the northeast. We completed our loop along Ridge Trail, which passed a couple more nice viewpoints, then headed back down Zig Zag Trail.
