Ascent Trip Report

Drove up from Hungry valley, hiked to the top, then drove back to highway five. The hike has no good trail after heavy rains this last winter, and the foxtails are relentless (I pulled easily over 100 out of my shoes later). There is a nice resting spot on the summit as well. I'd recommend a car with AWD but definitely high clearance (my Subaru forester hit the ground in a couple of spots). Also, the road is long and somewhat technical so if you're not experienced on mountain roads stay away from this one.
