Ascent Trip Report

For the approach we used a road and parking location (see waypoints) that appears to be outside the reservation boundary. From the north we followed Warrick road past the reservoir and continued on for a several miles up and over a pass until east of the peak at 4850' elevation. Turn right on a small spur road (not shown on the topo maps) which parallels Warrick Road as it heads south before turning the corner and heading west. We followed this until about a quarter mile south of point 5082 (mislabeled) in the NE corner of Section 35 where a grassy spur headed up to the right. We parked on a shoulder just beyond this point at 4950' elev. Satellite image is helpful for locating this road.

We followed the shoulder up along an old road bed through an open grassy corrider to the start of Richard Carey's route. We saw no negative signage between Warrick Road and where we parked or anywhere along the hike. High clearance recommended.
