Ascent Trip ReportOvernight trip of the Kautz glacier route. Started and ended at the comet falls trailhead.
The route is in excellent shape. Really fun route involving a slightly more technical difficult task than the standard rainier routes. There is some moderately steep ice (55 degree ish) on the second technical (crux) pitch. Overall, pretty mellow however - mostly French technique and hybrid technique. A few moves required front pointing.
We had the entire ascent to ourselves! Didn't run into a single party during the climb and at the summit!
