Ascent Trip ReportI went up on the main trail from Angelus Oaks, which is in great shape and almost completely snow-free. Passed a ranger on the way up who lectured me about the small size of my pack after I told him I was a dayhiker. Otherwise it was an uneventful trip to the peak, where I arrived in almost exactly 3 hours. I had a summit beer and enjoyed the views down into Mill Creek and over to the Yucaipa Ridge. After a 15 minute break I began my jog down to Washington's Monument, making sure to be running fast when I passed the ranger and his friends still ascending.
