Ascent Trip ReportIt had rain/snow during the night and there was still low clouds at the beginning of the hike.
We started to follow Brandon Boulier GPX through the forest and creeks, but quickly realized that it was old and no trail existed. We fell back on Devan Peterson GPX and were happy to find a trail. It follows an old avalanche path that is partially tree free and then follows the drainage. At about 2460m we started the scree section on the right side of the drainage. Poles were useful. At about 2600m we reached a ridge and we started scrambling. With a little route finding we It was climbed with some class 3 moves. Depending on your route finding skills you might get some class 4 moves or only class 2 maybe. It was snowing a little but the cloud level was rising. At about 2900m we found the snow on ground and I put on mountaineering boots. It was still very steep. At the small summit at 3040m we put on gaiters. The rest of the ascent was flatter but with deep snow, 20-30 cm. By the time we got to the summit we had a clear view of the neighboring mountains and peaks. We went down the same way.
