Ascent Trip ReportAttempt at Glacier Island Traverse
Started from Gobblers Knob Trail, hike on the road for a bit before going up Tacoma creek. If creek is low enough, its recommended to walk up the creekbed rather than the poor trail going up the hill to avoid the erosion.
Mirror lake was muddy and mostly covered in snow. There were no insects. Went up to the small peak next to Pyramid to access conditions. Visibility was really low and the Tacoma glacier we were planning to cross was heavily split up. Decided to turn around as crossing the seracs would take too much time.
