Ascent of Humphreys Peak on 2019-06-22
|Date:||Saturday, June 22, 2019|
|Ascent Type:||Successful Summit Attained|
| Elevation:||12633 ft / 3850 m|
Ascent Trip ReportA lovely rigorous hike with excellent views and trail. A few snow patches still and rocky and steep so poles recommended. It gets to you, I’ve done much worse and have felt better afterward. Didn’t help that I started (@6AM) on two hours sleep and felt real poorly from starting my period too. A bit crowded so allow extra time to share the trail. Overall reminds me of mt baldy (a comparison for the LA based hikers). If I lived closer I would return here frequently (hence the crowds!) Start early and turn around if thunderstorms lurk.
