Ascent Trip Report

Started at Snow Lake TH and made the approach via Nada Lake. Start climbing the boulders to a ledge that involves some class 2/3 moves. From there, lots of bushwacking and routefinding to get into Temple Canyon and then eventually into the rarely visited Tamarack Meadows. You'll occasionally run into cairns, but they are pretty sparse. Eventually you'll go up a snow gully to a bench. From there, we climbed High Priest in three pitches (1 long, 2 short). Amazing views from the summit. We rapped down 20' to a ledge with pitons. From there, another rappel followed by a class 3 down climb we were finished. Instead of taking the same approach, returned to Snow Lake TH via Prusik Pass and then down the core. Take note that this a really long and strenuous approach with lots of miles and elevation gain beyond the bushwacking, route finding, snow traversal, and scrambling.
