Ascent Trip Report

gmaps will more or less get you to the trailhead, but once you get up in the mining area it has inaccurate roads. it was really obvious how to stay on the proper route... i'm attaching a driving track for convenience. i came in from imlay, which took about 1h45, and left out toward NV-140, which took about 1h.

gmaps had me taking at least 2h longer for all the driving today, and i neglected to properly plan a bonus peak... my best choice for a bonus was earlier in the day at blue mountain. alas. i was too focused on picking up the NV county prominence point, i'm trying to finish that list this year (3 to go).

this was an awesome hike, with spring wildflowers and a sprinkling of snow in the upper meadows. as greg says, class 1+.
