Ascent Trip Report

Grant Myers' report was posted just in time for our needs. The difference was that we didn't worry about driving the haul road where the Horse Canyon road junctioned on the haul road. It was only about a quarter mile down the haul road to the summit road junction. There were no warning signs and we didn't see any vehicles on or from that short section. We did encounter two trucks on Horse Canyon road but were able to get out of their way so that we didn't slow them down. Both drivers waved friendly greetings. The only reason we couldn't have driven to the summit was a snowbank on the last switchback, so we parked at the highest junction.
