Ascent Trip ReportParked on Green River Road at the free parking for the Santa Ana River bike trail. I went up on Pipeline trail and the firebreak (was very thankful that I brought poles!) and down via Leonard Road and the Coal Canyon Trail. Clouds were very low, starting at 1700' and barely still present at the summit (they burned off a bit to show a little blue sky when I was hanging out at the summit). I got absolutely no views on the ascent or at the summit, but once I got below Picnic Rock and the clouds lifted a bit there were some nice ones on the descent. If I was to do this again I'd go up and down on the Coal Canyon Trail/Leonard Road, giving the firebreaks a pass altogether. They may have great views, I don't know, but the steep and loose stuff got annoying.
