Ascent Trip Report

Drove Road 1610 to just before a stream at 2050'elevation. If you value your paint job park at the spur road around 1750'. Beyond this point you will encounter a tunnel of brush and increasingly suspect roadbed with limited turnaround opportunities. For very determined drivers proceed as far as you dare.

Between where I parked and 1610/021 spur I spent a fair amount of time clearing (breaking) encroaching limbs on the way in such that I was able to coast back down the 6 miles of road on my bicycle on the way out. The gradient was steady and not steep making for a pleasant descent and the brush and roadbed kept it interesting. I left my bike at the 1610/021 junction where there was still some lingering snow on the road. Once leaving road 021 the route is as Ken Jones described.

If you have any interest in this obscure peak get it while you can! In another couple of years brush may take over completely. Decent summit views.
