Ascent Trip Report

Skied up the Quien Sabe Glacier (approached from the Cascade Pass trailhead, which saved about 400' of elevation gain from the Boston Basin Trailhead). Bivied at the Boston-Sahale Col at 8500'; easily the most amazing campsite I ever had.

In the morning attempted Boston but turned back; the class 4 traverse is still snow covered/corniced and is impossible to protect. Packed up and did a carryover to the top of Sahale; summit ridge involved a steep snow traverse but wasn't too terrible. Did one rappel off the summit block, then skied all the way back to the car.
