Ascent Trip Report

Started at the Gooseberry trailhead off FR 193 and took the Gooseberry Springs Trail to the summit and back.

The trail was never steep, and it went through a nice forest down low and crossed over several open grassy slopes up higher. Still some snow near and at the summit, but it wasn't anything I needed traction for. Excellent 270-degree views from the top, particularly of the old crater and lava dome remains.
