Ascent of Mount Rosebrook on 2019-05-11
|Date:||Saturday, May 11, 2019|
|Ascent Type:||Successful Summit Attained|
| Location:||USA-New Hampshire|
| Elevation:||3004 ft / 915 m|
Ascent Trip Report#81 on the NH Fire Tower list. We started at the main parking lot for Bretton Woods and headed up the Coos Caper ski trail before moving to over to the middle trail, Range View. This trail is very wide, and we could see the top of the lift as soon as we started climbing, despite it being 1000 feet up, so it was a very tiresome and monotonous hike. We admired the views of the Dartmouth and Presidential Ranges from the top of the trail. From there we followed the Outer Bounds trail to the left. This was an even less appealing climb, as it was essentially a construction area for a new lift and building. The summit was just beyond the construction, and we had to walk up a short slope of remaining snow. The summit was just behind the trail map at the top, and was marked with only a cairn and some ski area boundary signs.
